Wums are cosmic creatures that come from beyond our tangible reality. Not much is known about the capabilities of Wums in their true form. All that has been decided is their strengths, knowledge and motivations are grander then we understand.
Wums come into our realty by reanimating freshly fresh corpses. When a Wurm is born no notable change will occur to the body. If the being died with injuries the injuries will remain. Soon after the body will regenerate in accordance to the nature of the original life form.
Most of the time a Wum is undisguisable from the species it is imitating. The only time a Wurm can be known is when it acts beyond the capabilities of it’s body. If a Wurm exerts physicals, mental or spiritual power beyond what is natural for it’s chosen organism, it will begin to rot. The longer a Wurm exists in our reality the further it can exert it’s body without destruction.
Because of their ability to go beyond the limitations of their species with time, it is speculated the leaders, alphas and superiors of species are often Wums.
